I'm from Cheonan, South Korea.
I have recently received my Ph.D. degree in mathematics at UCLA.
I received both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematical sciences at KAIST, in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
C++, MATLAB, Python, Julia, Java
Korean, English
For the mandatory military service, I worked at The Armed Forces Daejeon Hospital, as a unit supply specialist. I honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2014.
I love the night sky. The Mojave National Preserve is one of my favorite places for stargazing. I'm using a Celeste Cavalry 15x70 binocular, and a Skywatcher 6'' dob.
In 2007, I started to play the vocal percussion in an a capella club in KSA. In KAIST, I gathered people and started an a capella club BAOBAB. We won the 2nd prize at Asia College Acappella Competition 2015, and I personally won the best vocal percussion award (the photo on the right.)
I also play the drum and Daegeum (Korean traditional bamboo flute).
I have a bit of experience at playing the piano, violin, and electric bass as well.
